Tree Story

Ladies & Gentlemen
Behold a tree
There was hush in the crowd
For it was beautiful, unique
Nobody had ever seen one before
See how it shades us from the sun
Taste its fruit (Yum)

What was this strange thing?
Where did it come from?
The green leaves felt cool, smooth
It seemed to attract silence, meditation
Its very shape was elegant, artistic
Why had we not heard of a "tree" before
Our government must have kept it secret from us

Long ago on a small green planet
A place where one could breath without tanks
This creature grew everywhere
Many creatures made there homes in it
A creature called man made houses with it
Then sadly he used it abused it , exploited it
Till there none left...

This planet died
Suffocated to death
Tree could help as it exhaled air
But no one cared...Tree became extinct
All living creatures died
The world became a hostile place
And man also became extinct..
