Has anyone else had problems trying to book using RCI points, additional weeks away? I need to use some points and secured a week away in December, after a lot of problems, for a girlie trip.
I have been trying to secure another week for my son and his partner on the Costa Del Sol for Oct/Nov or infact anywhere in mainland Europe. Apparently there is no availability anywhere except the Canaries, which they don't want as I own there and they wanted a changeof venue.
So, please can someone explain to me why, if you look at the Empire Stores web page, RCI are offering cash holidays on the Costa Del Sol at three RID, Points resorts and one Gold Crown not in points. I intend to try again for a booking and will present them with this information. Are we being ripped off, I thought the idea was holiday when and where you liked. If there was a genuine lack of space I would accept this, clearly this is not true.

That is so annoying. When we bought timeshare about ten years ago it was to be able to stay in quality accommodation that you couldn't rent. What is the point now of laying out money when you can hire an apartment for less than the cost of your maintenance fee plus exchange fee and keep your money in the bank?
