-x- casting a nod she turns abruptly, striding into her bedroom, gently nudging the door shut with her foot. setting the apple and glass of water upon her nightstand she opened the window, just a sliver to allow to sound of waves lapping against the shore send her to sleep. before turning of the little hula girl lamp beside her she quickly prayed, Portuguese phrases flowing fluently in a whisper from her lips. although she wasn't overly religous it had become a habit, her mother had raised her brothers and sisters the best she could and had made sure each one attended church every sunday. once the room was completely dark she slid under the crisp unwrinkled sheets, head falling softly onto pillows. -x-
