so this will be my last effort (for a while)
to try and drum up some activity at this site. I hate to beg, but I know that at least a couple hundred people were recently e-mailed the new web address and I believe we still get many hits on this site daily (the webmaster knows for sure).

There must be something interesting going on in your lives that you could share here about yourselves (it probably wouldn't be a good idea to share about other people's lives, without their permission anyway).

The boysweekend site that I've told you all about before has plenty of stuff about Norman, Bob, Joe, Roy, Chick, Jim, David, myself and many others who visit there regularly.

Perhaps you have something to sell, like Patti and her ski equipment, or you would like to announce some upcoming event that may have wide appeal; this is the place to do it! If you're running for public office, especially in Essex, what a great place to announce it. If you're running for office in Hawaii, this might be cool for others to know too.

We had a good run with the 3 questions thread, but someone needs to get this going again. I was never a cheerleader in high school, but I know some of you were, and were good at it; let's get some team spirit and get the word out to others about the existence of this site! I still think this could be a really good way to foster community spirit, and still include those who are no longer part of the Essex community in the physical sense. (end of speech)

This is where I could use some encouraging feedback to let me know that I'm not just barking at the moon.

Just thought I'd say hello. Glad to have the site back.
It's fun to read and I do enjoy hearing from people from the olden days. Since I was a "townie" and didn't leave
my neighborhood very often (wasn't allowed) I couldn't
join the junction memory game. I did get to go to The
Tower a few times though. Not much going on with me. Nothing interesting anyway. Basically kids and work.
Sam starts Johnson State in August. Courtney got her license last month and drives me crazy everyday about wanting to borrow my car. Luke will be starting first grade this year. I see Kathy Greene once in a while.
Kathy OBrien at work and I saw Donna Ehler the other day.
It's always nice to see old friends. It's almost like
visiting with all of you when I see your names and read
your messages. Keep 'em coming--and I will try to spread
the word about the site.

And, yes, I would be interested in attending a summer party. (or Fall)

A party you say??? I would love to attend, but fear I'm too far away to actually make it in person... I was on the east coast last weekend (Maryland, Conn and RI), and it was nice for a short visit, but "had" to come back to Hawaii...:-) Tim had done an admirable job keeping this going and I like connecting with people from the "good ole days". Actually, today I'm going to visit with Maureen Hennessey (Purington) on the other side of the island, so I'm looking forward to that. I am golfing "over there", so it was the perfect opportunity to drop in and catch up. Well, that's it from Hawaii, for now anyway, so you all take care and hope to continue to read messages you all post. Aloha

Poor Robin. So far away and unable to attend our parties.
I've got it!!! We could bring the party to you! Wouldn't
that be nice. (For us) How nice for you that you have
someone there from home to visit.

Tim, I think that people just don't have time available to be on the internet all the time. I have the chance once in awhile at work, but at home, even if I had the time, my kids won't let me use the computer except to fix problems. People these days are so busy with the kids activities and their own (if they're lucky), that they rarely have time to sit down and surf the internet. I know that's how it is for me. the few times that I have checked in here, I find it very interesting to hear from old (and I don't mean that literally) classmates. Hello to Robin and Maureen who I haven't seen for many years!

I really like the the web site, I don't get on the net very often but I will try to get on more. My oldest daughter seems to be plugged in whenever she is home. The youngest is starting to get the bug as well.

Great job Tim, Helen and who ever else helped to get it going.

Well, I believe we've heard from at least one cheerleader now. And I'm glad to see that Judy's back, and going to try and organize an event for the Fall?...Perhaps we could have an old home day when George comes to town?

It really is cool hearing from you guys who have kids too, but you really should be putting your foot down and limiting the time they spend on the family computer...I'm concerned about my own kids; I'm sure Mr. Bosworth would not have approved of the grammar that's being used on this "instant messaging". Speaking of instant messaging, Helen, you talked a while back of having a certain night that you would like to host a live forum. How about posting a time and seeing what happens? Let's see, if it's 7:00pm in Vermont, what time is it in Hawaii? Maybe Robin and Moe could join us on their lunch hour?

keep it comin' folks!!!

My how time flys!

It's been a year and nine months since I last responded to this post. We had quite a few different people chime in on this thread. Where have all our alumni gone?

This really isn't the tim orourke forum you know, folks! i'm sure people have things to announce, small talk, or some interesting anecdote. It would really be nice to hear from some of you again.

Has anyone connected with anyone else through this forum? I've written to folks in Hawaii, Colorado and New Mexico to name just a few. I think it's pretty cool and our annual meeting is coming up in August at Chris Halpin's house in Essex (you can find the details at another thread).

If you'd like to see this forum stay up and running, please send in your comments, suggestions, or critique. It would be great to hear from those who visit, even if you're too shy to post your name on a public forum.

now i'll shut up and let someone else talk...

wow, this thread was started 6 years ago! A lot has changed and yet, very little. Tonight is the Palin/Biden debate for vice president. One of these names will have slipped into virtual obscurity in another 6 years. I wonder which one?

Meanwhile, the beat goes on. recent guestbook entry by Donna (Prior) Sullivan. She was Miss Vermont, I believe. Must have been back in the early 70's? Life keeps chuggin' along. Donna was one of my best friend David Prior's sister. She also was a babysitter for me at one time and I turn 50 in a couple of weeks! wow! count your blessings everybody. Hi Donna!
