Our original location has been cancelled. We still want to hold a relaxing atmosphere type gathering. Need to make sure there will be plenty of parking, electricity, allows noise(haha), and will be enjoyable by all. Wetherbee's is locked in and has great food!!! So, if anyone has thoughts, please either post here or on boysweekend. OR contact Helen, Ana, or me. Don't worry, we still plan on August 12 and it will be a great time!!!! I think the Sandbar will be a fine place to meet, despite the early closing; people could make plans from here; I know a family run country bar in Milton that might be an option? How many people have committed so far? I think a phone-a-thon is a good idea and should happen soon, so we can get the money we need to cover the cost of the event...Roger said we could use the boardroom at his place. it has multiple phone lines and lakeviews! how about Monday night, July 10th? Geoff are you still planning on attending? I also told Brian Dubie, who marked the date in his palm pilot, but it was still scheduled for Sandy's place at the time, so we'll have to be sure to call him and let him know of the change in plan. Remember, the class of '76 is sponsoring the event, but other class members from other years and especially those who didn't finish are encouraged to come and be a part of our celebration. I think John Q. made it through the first semester of freshman year. I idolized him as a hero then for getting out and have thought about him a lot since. He was a bit of a legend in his own time! He now works in City government in a major midwest city! Go John! Are there other people who are planning on coming to the Sandbar? At least one classmate I know has just had a baby.
