John--- you and I have experienced the same beginning.
God still was alive and well in our schools; no one of any
faith was offended---

Our teachers then if thought needed could swing a hard paddle.

Our first and second grade teachers could rap us across the knuckles with a ruler. Or if we motor-mouthed use tape across our mouth.

We lived in fear if our mother would hear of any of our school misadventures.

Please, to anyone reading this thread--- I'm not complaining
but just explaining--- and everyones life experience is different.

Life, and what is defined as "ethics" and "morals" go on---
They are as changeable and as caprecious as the weather.

But one thing is evident--- war is horrable; no one wins.
Also, a lesson once learned, but now being forgotten: During
the Great Depression--- To have empathy to our fellow man and to work together---

Remember we are just on a spaceship earth speeding counter-clockwise around the sun at about 66,000 mph while rotating counter clockwise on our axis at about 1000 mph.

Also, the earth's SG is about 5.5 as I remember; no, we are not a hollow ball filled with petrolium and our atmosphere for anyone who has been to Pikes Peak (as just an example)to run about 100 yds. knows the air is thin.

This afternoon I will be out within our youngest daughters back yard--- now I am the oldest-one of a large extended family--- specifically; the oldest living member
of all. The oldest living great grandfather.

I will--- as I have in the recent past--- look at the small
children--- the youngest ones--- who are like the sun; and we, sometimes as many as fifty or more; like the planets and their moons--- we are revolving around the little ones.

Again--- on this Memorial Day weekend--- My thoughts stray to the ones who served in past wars and paid with their life. And I hope for the future-- war and terrorism to become a thing of the past.
