G'Day All,
Hey!!!! Thanks for the interesting input :o) Jim I went to "Google" and searched for anything I could find under "Rotary vanes"(Van??) and found a bunch of stuff on "turbines"!!?? Is this system you're talking about some kind of turbine of sorts?

Whatever it is, do you happen to know where I can get a very basic schematic (drawing) that will show me how works so I can better understand what it is we're talking about? Maybe a web site, somewhere, has something? :o) The "Poppet Valve" sounds interesting also.

I toyed with the idea of pumping high velocity air into a dredging hose to create a suction (Venturi Vacuum) like a water dredge uses. I wanted to suck the material up that way and throw it up onto the classifying screen while using a constant air drywasher. I passed this idea by my partner and he just laughed!!!

He said he had tried that and it doesn't work because I would need such a high velocity AND volumne of air that I would have a set-up so darn BIG that it's not practical!! :o( There just has to be a way it seems to me but I certainly don't want to create a "Rube Goldberg" in the process :o) Does anyone else out there have something to add to this brainstorming?? If nothing else, it sure is fun playing around with the idea anyway.

Wishbone - NM
