Subject: Another kick at the can.

Well, I did it! Picked up another Fisher Goldstrike. It got a lot of bad press and people started making up stuff about it (like the Infinium), but it really is a good detector. The 2 tones can get tiresome, but having 2 tones sounding off on everything is not much different from I tone sounding off on everything. Also picked up a Compass X-100 Challenger. This is one heavy pig, but boy is it ever sensitive. I've used and owned many a detector and must say that if someone were to put the electronic guts of the X-100 into a lighter, more modern package, it would blow the battery doors off most of todays machines.. even the high end ones. ..Willy.
