Yo, Jim & Jim...There were a few "pocket hunters" up in Siskiyou County CA that got rich...I tried it with a pan back in the early '80's and got nuttin but color up the hill sides...I know several areas that produced rich pockets there but haven't been in with a detector...And the cool thing is, that I'm darn near certain nobody else has either!!!!...Me and a couple partners used to own the Klamath Group up off the Salmon River and our sunday fun was to wander the gulches and pick up speci...I'd love to get back in there with a beeper and see what's under the trash in those gulches...I'm sure theres still some amazing pockets left...Cheers, Ron
