Subject: Looking for gold hunting tips with the MXT

I have been spending my summer looking for Gold with the MXT. I have been hunting in spots known to produce plenty of gold without much luck. I am wondering if anyone with Gold detecting experience with the mxt would give me a hand. What kind of signals do you look for? Most of the signals I am digging are giving me an audible tone. I have heard hints that you want to dig the faint whispers. Most of the gold in these areas is smaller gold with the occasional 1/4 to 1/2 ouncer of which I have found only one about the size of the tip of a needle. Tiny. All Advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
