The Presidio Mine, near Shafter was worked from about 1883 until shut down in 1942 (WW-2)

I find this very interesting as it was/is a typical base metal(lead, silver gold and zinc)replacement operation in dolomite/limestones such as also found in central and eastern Nevada. (east of the 117). I would suspect it might be again in limited operation. There was some production of gold from a property; the Heath Mine in Llano county.
