Good for you Majuba. The 2100 with a "mono" is deadly in the alkali areas.

For the dumps; where I can still get permission, I am using either a 17000 (32kHz) or Eureka Gold (20 and 60 kHz). I find the 6-inch circular accessory DD made for the 18000 absolutely awesome as far as punching down on the dumps; however, not finding as much as you are.

"Last Weekend," did you slip and slide on the Mormon Crickets? About the worst in many years.

I rented a Saturn. Great milage per gallon. 37 average at 70 plus per hour, tac at about 2900. For a week it was cheaper to rent then to buy gas for my truck. The only negative is the tires on a rental are not the best for driving off road. I was going to take an extra day and to swing by Cloverdale but thought better of it due to tires.
