As Jim S. stated, Valley Prospectors has 4 or 5 claims in the area, as you know drywashing can be pretty good. I have only detected those claims once, no nuggets, some 50 cal. casings and bullets, fine shoe nails, buried tobacco tin. I know of a few nuggets taken out by others. Most people drywash out there, so the ground is prime for some nuggets.
As Jim also mentioned the Valley Prospectors Rendezvous, Sept. 20th, 21st, there will be vendors and detecting hunts, everybody is invited and welcome. For info, check out Valleys sight at www.geocities.com/valleyprospectors and look under special events. It's a good place to meet people from other clubs and make some new contacts.
