Subject: gold crystals

Hello everyone, I have a chance to buy a gold crystal that is just under two ounces. It is shapped like a spruce tree and has literally thousands of tiny facets all around it. I think the guy said it was taken from a cave or mine in AU and weighs in around 51 grams. The item is all crystal with no sign of quarts or any other meneral. I am not that familiar with the subject, and am thinking of buying it. So my question is, what price per gram would something like this be worth in the real world? hahaha... I think he wants just under $30 per gram for it now. It is a very beautiful formation that looks like a xmas tree and is solid. Any help would be appreciated.
