O.T.: Thank you for your excellent thoughts and also the good words; any secret is "persistance" and learning the equipment.

Gregg: You now have learned the first lesson in becoming successful, to concentrate on one machine

I'm not saying any machine is "best." There are readers of this post that will think, "Poor Jim, He is using a Lobo Supertraq. Doesn't he know that-----" And they are right, their choice is best for them!

As an example: The Fisher Gold Strike seems to be getting more than its share of criticism; however I suspect that if someone takes the time to learn it, it will be found to be a good choice. I have taken time to play around a little with it and I feel it has great potential. I hope someone reading this post who has a Gold Strike will verify this thought.

Your MXT is a great machine. You made a good choice. Stay with it; use it every chance you can. Take it out and become familiar with its "coin shooting" capabilities.

One of the reasons I settled on "cosying up" to my LST is that not only is it a good gold machine that can handle alkali and hotrocks, but it also a good coin machine and also fast and responsive in an organized hunt. Also it is simple to use with a minimum of contols and has no
"presets."
