That's kinda the idea I'd gotten from Dave and would be a nice way to go (selling a kit). Actually the way Carl's doing it is the easiest as you don't have to maintain a stock of parts.
All's I've been told is Dave's going to email me the final schematic.

I emailed him yesterday re: the 2 box and his response was "why not?", so as the Lady's of the night have been know to say "let's give it a go!". The main point was to achieve greater depth by the 90 degree physical orientation of the coils instead of dragging around a 24"-36" coil like coiltek makes for the SD series. Also as a ham operator I kinda like the idea of putting the RX coil in a Faraday shield as it just makes sense for a couple of reasons.

It will be fun and hopefully we can come up with something that will help Jim Straight find that ol' lunker he believes is hiding from him on the Rand slopes! :>)
