Simple: Decide what is important to you. Actually it was 137 lbs in a year. Have been able to maintain for two years but a daily struggle.

If you just gain 1/2 lb a month for 20 years you will understand my situation. I decided on my 70th birthday to get with it. now 73 and feel better than I did 20 years ago. I started with Dr. Atkins. It is just a matter of watching the "carbs."

Did you know that Eddie Rickenbacker was a special civilain consultant for Gen Hap Arnold during WW-2? His B-17 crashed into the Pacific and he and his group spent 27 days in life rafts. At the time Rickenbacker was in his early 50's.
