Your so funny Jim, I get the hint. I might be heading out to the Dale district with Marjorie and a few others tomorrow to try my new 15" WOT. Am told by Doc and by Coiltek it is best to run in the 6 frequency to get best depth. As I told you, when I took it to the beach I had to turn the sensitivity down and run in the mineral mode as the salt water and black sand at our beaches run havoc on vlf's. The unit runs fine after adjustment, just lost a lot of depth, in the dry sand I was running wide open and I was digging down 24" for targets and did find my first Gold ring of the year. Will be trying the 18000 with the "WOT" in the Dale area next, will let you know how well it handles the desert, not sure if the area we will be going to is smooth or real rocky, as this will also determine which coil I use. As for Dan why are you selling the Minelab, I have found it to be a great detector and fairly versatile?
