Subject: Doodle Buggin !!

Didn't get to American Cr near Eagle as the owner of the claims passed away on Tues so that is closed now for?? Stopped at Jack Wade and visited a friend one of the fellows in on this little operation had a stroke wed. and the other fellow owns the claims on this stretch of Jack Wade and he was gone so I didn't get permission to hunt there either. I did get to hunt the already mined area on this site but they have just opened this area and it wasn't much. This slope was originally drifted by the oldtimers and they took out some heavy gold, it was very course and these guys picked up a couple of lunkers last week that the old drifters missed. They are basically going over the ground and remining it and are picking up some pay. Steve is right they have had a hard frost and winter is not far away, in this valley, might get one more shot at it before freezeup and maybe a shot at the Dawson City area... The Bantam Hydraulic Hoe is out of the picture but that is what they use to load the sluiceplate This fellow runs this setup by himself...Geo
