Subject: X5 in area with lots of black sand

I am interested in buying a detector for nugget hunting in an area with lots of black sand (mostly magnetite)in the creek gravels. Is the X5 an appropriate machine for this or can anybody recommend a better option. The gold I have recovered so far is small flakes but I know of some nuggets have been recovered above and below my claim.
