Appreciate your feedback Jim. I have found that my 17000 using the 15 inch Coiltek DD performs best
at 6.4Khz,even on very small pieces of gold.I have come to feel more confident using 6.4Khz even with the Std. 8inch Minelab coil. In any case,on my 17000 using the boost mode is a must for sharpest response to a deep target. With the 15 inch WOT pinpointing tiny targets can be a real pain. I always have my Fisher GB 1 with the 3x6 coil near by for sniping if the target isn't to deep. I would like to go for a P.I machine, but am waiting to see if one of the U.S companies can compete with the Minelab P.I instruments for much less cost.
