better grab another cup of coffee. The original battery pack that came with your 17000 was a single 12 volt rechargeable pack. Mark, if'n it fits in the battery compartment, your friends set-up is like the original rechargeable pack. I use the twin non rechargeable accessory packs and they obviously goes to the same connection. So the onboard voltage regulator is not overstressed.
