Re Silence is GOLDen; some just need to brag and post photos which come in large and clear. Several areas have gold with unique characteristics; nuff said. If ya' got a spot; don't tell. The next time you return you will find it in the middle of a parking lot.

My step-grandpa; "Dragline" Miller, who married my widowed grandmother in 1943 was a well known and respected mining figure from about 1900 to 1950. He told me about 60 years ago that he would show a potential partner a little gold and watch his eyes. If he detected what he called "gold fever" in the other fellows eyes he would not continue the relationship.

He got the nick name "Dragline" as he was a champion dragline caster back in the 1910-40 era at Round Mountain and Osceola Nevada. The expression "I got drag" meant a successful cast; like a fisherman throwing out his line.

Off and on over the past 45 years as a geologist doing consulting work, I have seen a lot of high-grade hardrock gold while working for the 'other fellow' and it did not bother me. I was happy to get the paycheck; several times a nice unexpected "bonus."

About PI-types, I have owned and used a SD-2200d. I have used the 2000, 2100, and the Extreme. I do have two Garrett Infiniums. However, the PI-type are best where the VLF-type fail.
