Hi John,

The assay kit does not tell you how many oz.'s per ton, but goes strictly by how deep a yellow color you get as to how much gold is in a area as the leach is pretty seletive for gold.

How it works is you put a 1/4 teaspoon of #20 mesh or smaller dirt. Wash it with their solution, rinse and then add the leachant and let sit for about 12 hours or more.

After working my arse off today at Sand Canyon drywashing and on finding one large coarse flake and lots of fly specs, I was kinda disapointed as it tells me the only way to get the gold out of this particular soil is by leaching (but I got a nice deep rich gold color in the acid solution so it's there-just not free milling like I'd like it ).

So I'm thinking I'll wait till I set up a small leaching plant in my garage (late summer or early fall) before I take anymore samples. Just drywash and run thru the ol' camel wheel!
