Hello Gene

I showed you where to go. Get together with Randy, Erich and anyone else. The slopes are not too mineralized and the caliche fairly dry. You have a broad regional area with possible overlooked placer gold. I have a theory that the shists may be worth looking over as I found several small nuggets with my SD-2200--- this was several years ago--- in the schist. However, they were not deep and your GMT/10-inch Twin-D should be very effective. However, in one area the 14-inch coils on both/either GM's or GB-2 were effective.

If anyone has hunted with "Midge" Seapy, don't let her get ahead of you; she is awesome--- really finding the gold! (She is the one that put me onto using the larger coils.)

In digging in the fractured schist wear gloves and make sure you have a larger-style hoe-pick. The Estwing prospector hammer too small and if not careful you will skin your knuckles.

I'm giving it a try with my ol' Compass Gold Scanner Pro and a larger accessory coil. Have moved to a satellite area several miles from where we were last at; but still within a possible fault lode in crushed schist. Good excercise if nothing else. Will let you know.
