Hi Golden Boy. I am not sure of the status of the SD minelab series in the states or if you guys use them much there. Here in Australia they are what everybody uses that is finding gold. I was up on my lease last year picking up fly specks (.2 up to a gram) at up to six inches with a 2100 minelab and a coiltech 7 inch eliptical coil. They were sounding like ounce bits on the top of the ground. I dont know if coil tech exports to the U.S. but if they do they are worth getting. If you can't get them there sing out and I will give you a link where you can get them. Take care and good luck chasing the weight.
Matt
