I don't have any idea what CBS or MTV knew about the Jackson performance, however, one of the regulars on FOX News made a good point. Where does the ultimate responsibility lie? With Janet Jackson herself, of course.

I'm old enough to remember the first time I ever saw a news show apologize before showing the results of an act of violence that they deemed newsworthy. It was a tough decision for them to make, but look where that decision has led. It has deadened us and our children and their children to the horrors of violent acts. It only made sense that the next thing the media would loosen up on was sex.

Now we live in an era of anything goes. I will admit that there have been times when I've thought O'Reilly was talking out of both sides of his mouth when he conducted interviews with porn stars or so-called celebs like Paris Hilton. And seemed to enjoy it. I agree with his rampage against rap, which condones violent sex and violence in general. As I write this he is interviewing Mary Alice Carter on the issue of partial birth abortion, which the feminists would have you believe is not used as a method of birth control. But it most definitely is used for exactly that purpose. I knew a young lady who had a partial birth abortion and that's exactly why she had it done. Because she did not want to have a child at the time. Absolutely no other reason.

The moral atmosphere in this country has deteriorated because the media has made the most of our foibles, our mistakes, in a way that makes them amusing and mainstream.

The very things that hold our country together - the traditional family and religion, are being held up to our children's eyes as unnecessary and/or unconstitutional. Do you agree or disagree?
