Subject: They CLAIM to oppose a tax cut because it "causes deficits." Let's see what they really stand for:

The airwaves and newspapers are filled with opponents of President Bush's proposed proposed rollback of the amount of money stolen from Armeican taxpayers by $750-Billion. Even two Senate Repooblicrats are siding with Tom Daschle, Dick Gephart and others in cutting back the tax cut package put forth by the administration, claiming it will result in "deficit spending."

Let's just take a look at the truth. President Bush asked for les than $75-Billion in a supplemental budget authorization to bear the costs of Operation Iraqi Freedom and for a few needed additions to Homeland Security efforts. According to the watchdog group, Citizens Against Government Waste, here's what we got instead... an additional $348.5-MILLION in PORK BARREL SPENDING in 29 added on expenditures, most of which were added by the very same guys screaming about deficits!

* $110-million for the National Animal Disease Center in Ames, Iowa;

* $5-million for state and tribal wildlife grants;

* $3.3-million for something called "the European Communities music listening dispute";

* $513,000 for wastewater improvements in Princeton, West Virginia;

* $437,000 for the sanitary board of Huntington, West Virginia

How does ANYONE justify $3.3-MILLION taxpayer dollars for a dispute over "European Communities music listening?" Why are wastewater and sanitary board projects in West Virginia included to the tune of nearly $1-MILLION US taxpayer dollars in a bill that supposedly provides the funds for protecting our citizens from terroristic acts or supplies and logistics for our troops in the field in Iraq?

Exactly which weapons system is being funded with the $5-MILLION taxpayer dollars devoted to "state and tribal wildlife grants?" How many MREs and M-16 rounds are being provided with the $110-MILLION boondoggle for the "National Animal Disease Center in Ames, Iowa?" Having subsisted on US military combat rations for a while, I am certain there are those who would make a somewhat specious connection here, but I don't think there is a real and direct correlation in the final analysis. We treat animals more humanely than we do our troops usually.

The very next time one of those idiots on the left says anything about tax cuts "costing the government money," be sure to point out these idiotic wastes of those limited funds. Ask the speaker if he or she voted in favor of those pork barrel add-ons to the Supplemental War Budget Authorization. Here's a hint. EVERYONE OF THEM DID, including Senators Olympia Snow of Vermont and Vocinivich of Ohio, the two RINOs (Repooblicrats In Name Only) who sided with Tom Daschle and his cronies to evisserate the President's proposed tax cut legislation.

Why is it so hard for leftists to understand that our government does not have a single cent it did not take from an American taxpayer first and that a "tax cut" is simply not taking as much of their money from the people who earned that money in the first place? If they demand we "pay for" tax cuts, let's do so by cutting out such idiocy and punishing those who vote to raid the public treasury for their pet pork projects. We could reduce the projected deficit by $348.5-BILLION simply by not wasting taxpayer funds on crap like the projects listed here.

Just how much support for the families of our troops would $348.5-BILLION buy? Why is a West Virigina waste water project more important to the defense of this nation than making sure the families of our active duty troops don't have to go on welfare when these soldiers are deployed?
