As stated i am a student of history and am just old enough to remember the news reports about the "Armed Conflict" in Vietnam. I remember the reported body counts that aired from both sides and remember my father saying that they were all lies on both accounts.
Your corner of that war is a part of the history i study and i feel it educates me to ask such questions and receive honest answers. It is also fact that we indeed live history and are a part of it and even though i find todays current events depressing i feel obligated to pay close attention to them and listen very closely to all avaiable information as the history we live will be rewritten several times, the stories distorted and the meaning of events takling place will be lost and only distortions of truths will remain.
One day someone much younger them myself may ask me the whats, whys, what if's and how comes i have asked you these past few days, those of the past and those that will surely come, i just want to be able to give as well an answer to the events of our times now that you have of your times then!
