Subject: Home office computer claim

I now run a home based mail order business, after semi-retiring from the workforce.

To run this business I purchased a computer, and printer/fax/scanner machine. I got lots of other items as well, but these were the most expensive "capital equipment" type items.

I purchased these items specifically for the business, so can I claim their full purchase price?

What about ongoing running costs? Can I claim it 100%?

I use it a little bit for private purposes, but mostly for the business, and the business was why I bought it in the first place.

Last question, is there an accounting package you would recommend I use?
