Hmph!! Well first remark: to what is your pronoun "they" referring...it seems as though its "affection" in the previous sentence, but that is not plural. Therefore, it would be "...whether or not IT IS fickle..."

Second remark: fickle?! Hah! How can I help it if you misread my sarcastic remarks! Ras is totally innocent here, and always knows where his CS affection lies...and it is certainly not with those who constantly affront him with snide remarks about him! So there.
