Hi I have recently become a great fan of this wonderful series and have purchased the boxed set plus the 2 movies. Can anyone help me with this question please - In the Christmas scene at the end of the pilot episode Sully arrives and gives Brian the pup, Colleen a comb and Dr Mike a shingle and Mathew I just can't make out what it is - does anyone know this bit of trivia
Thanks

I always thought it was a pocket knife.

Thank you for that info Isabelle - it could be that as it wasn't very big and suitable for Mathews age

Yes, Sylvia, I also think it's a pocket knife for Matthew. By the way, welcome to Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. I'm curious as to how you found the show. Glad to have another fan to chat with!

Thank you Holly for your welcome - this is a first for me in a forum and I have been a fan of DQMW for a few years and in my opinion the choice of Joe for Sully was perfect he made the show worth watching. I like the messages in each episode and they covered almost every topic we are faced with today.
I have a few of Joe's movies and one in particular I feel he should get accolades for is Killer Flood - his acting was great and yet the critic reviews were unkind picking faults in the special effects and not one of the 5 I read mentioned the acting of Joe and other actors. Whatever Joe does he does well and is able to portray the characters. I do not like violent ones so do not have any of those. Counterstrike is one that was good also. I wonder does Joe ever get involved with this forum?

YES, do please follow Joe Lando on his recently updated Twitter page. It has a new look, & best of all, Joe will be answering questions on Oct. 7th. It's been awhile since Joe could make time to do this for us, should be fun! He's asking that we NOT WAIT until Oct. 7th to submit our questions, so now's the time to ask him. Have a great time!
