Wow, Isabelle! That is great news! I will have to start watching that soap. Thanks for the heads up.

We in the midwest have had fairly nice weather. It's in the 70 and 80's during the day and in the 60's at nite. Windows are open and nice fresh air. That will soon change according to our local weather.

Hugs and kisses,
Nancy in Indiana

Isabelle, THANKS! I'll have to find out the time & channel here. I quit watching soaps in the mid 1990s, but MUST see Joe. I'm so glad he's going to be back on TV in something "new" for us to see! Way to go, Joe!!

I see it's on CBS, here in Houston, at 12:30pm. It's also on POP in the afternoons, at 5pm, or was it 5:30pm? In case my cable goes out again, I'm glad there are 2 show times!

Thanks Isabelle,

I just started watching the show today. Sounds like there is to be a custody battle and I assume Joe will be the judge. Interesting!

Take care,
Nancy in Indiana

I don't know this series nor the storyline, but the judge seems to hold his ground.

I haven't begun watching, plan to Mon. Got my cable & internet outages fixed, I hope! Technician came out & I now have a new router/gateway/modem. So far, so good. I must go see these photos you mentioned, Isabelle! Looking forward to "Joe watching" starting Thu.!! I'm excited to see him as a Judge, & hope he'll be joining the cast on a regular basis. I saw his Tweet to stay tuned to his Twitter page in Oct., has some news for his loyal fans. Will do, Joe, I got back into Twitter right after I saw that!!

I envy you ladies. No Judge McMullen before 2 years in France. The series is far behind here. And I can't subscribe to an online subscription to CBS, because I don't live in the USA.
If you're interested, there's a short article about Joe in B&B, with an unpublished photo, in his judge's attire, in CBS Soap in Deph from October 1st, which is already on sale, I bought it online.
Have a great Sunday

Hi Holly and Isabelle,

I used to watch "As the World Turns" but then it was not renewed. I will have to see if my local supermarket still sells the soap opera book that I also used to buy.

That is a shame that you will not be able to watch it, Isabelle.

Take care,
Nancy in Indiana

Hi, y'all. I used to watch Dark Shadows, the original one from the 60s & 70s. Watched General Hospital & the Days of Our Lives. Watched Joe on One Life to Live & on The Guiding Light. That was the last time I watched a soap, got really sick of all of the "cat claws", back stabbing & bed hopping. I'll be recording Bold & Beautiful, & watching Joe, & if I need to, a scene or 2 here & there. I start recording today, to connect the faces with the names.

Hi Holly and Isabelle,

Just started recording today also. On twitter was the photo of Joe in his robe. I think its was put up there by the Friends of Joe. He looks good. Looking forward to Thursday. I also signed up on Twitter for updates on Bold and the Beautiful. Can you do that Isabelle?

Take care,
Nancy in Indiana

There's 3 pix of "Da Judge" on Joe's Twitter page, & the Judge wears a wedding band just like Joe's! (Wink!) Isabelle, I hope there will be lots more pix for you to see, & wish y'all could get the shows more quickly where you are. This Judge Craig McMullen looks like he can't be bribed, & may have no patience for child custody battles,& the high drama that goes with them. Tomorrow's the big day!

Oh, this is just the first day, Joe's first 2 scenes, & things already look interesting. The Judge & Ridge are old pals, & Ridge loaned Craig McMullen money for Law school back in the day. Now, Ridge has asked Craig for a favor!!

I think Ridge misplaced his money. Come on !!!! It's Joe we're talking about. LOL I'm an eternal optimist about the characters played by Joe. I was sure John Blackwell was a saint. It's called being partial.
So the bets are open: corruptible or incorruptible?

Here is what I think. Joe should remove himself from the case since he knows Ridge. Even though Katie should get the boy, it will come out that Ridge called in a favor. Joe even said he could lose his job. So, Joe is a honest judge and truly believes Katie should get the boy. He will rule that way but Dollar Bill will find out about Ridge and Joe's history and declare a miss trial.

Take Care,
Nancy in Indiana

I also thought Craig could step down, & tell his superiors EXACTLY why, thereby keeping his integrity & job. I love seeing Joe, though, & hope Craig will stand his ground, & will see the hearing through. There probably will be a very messy trial to follow the hearing.

This IS a soap; cat claws & dagger-stares & back-stabbing run rampant, with bed hopping. The last time I watched a soap was The Guiding Light, when Joe was Macaully West, Summer of 1993. I have not missed them!

I don't want the judge to withdraw from the case, I want Joe to have the most presence on the screen. As for the storyline, both parents seem as pitiful as each other. Perhaps for the sake of this child the good judge will place this child in a healthier environment.

Joe can't withdraw! He should in real life but this is a soap. I haven't watched this show before but Is there anyone on this show that would provide a "healthy environment"? They all seem rather dysfunctional!

Are you able to watch on the internet, Isabelle?

I'm totally delirious, but why not the character of Alley Mills, I don't know if she has a family relationship with the kid, but it would be so funny that Judge Joe entrusts the child to one of his old Dr. Quinn pals.
By the way, there is a great interview of Joe on Soap Opera Digest. Orson came to say hello to Joe on his first day. I bought a digital version, on line on Zinio.
