Here is the description that ChillerTV has posted. Maybe other fans have more to add.

"When Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson) moves to the town of Chance Harbor, WA the setting seems idyllic. Soon after, however, the young teenager makes a startling family discovery, outted as the latest in a long and powerful line of witches. Soon enough, she is approached in secret to join a local coven, initiating herself into a dark and mysterious world as wonderful as it will be terrifying. Cassie must somehow navigate the natural, everyday life of the Northwest teenager and survive the supernatural life of magic-wielding witch."

"16-year-old Cassie moves from California to live with her grandmother in Chance Harbor, Washington, and falls in love with a mysterious boy named Adam.
