Subject: Importance of first 10 pages:

1. You have to catch the reader's attention and get your story moving otherwise he'll toss the script aside.

2. With comedy, you must SHOW that it's a comedy and
introduce your main character(s) on page 1 or 2 at the latest. Not easy.

3. GRAB the reader's attention and HOOK them into reading
the entire script with a SMASH opening scene.

4. Don't try to cram in all your exposition in the first
10 pages - only what's essential for the audience to know.

5. There are 1000's of scripts floating around Hollywood -
give the reader a reason to read yours!
