Last night we discussed the urgency fo acting to stop Henderson Land disappearing from the landscape without due consideration of the impact that would have on:

* delivering adequate sporting infrastructure (in one place) to meet the community's requirements

* meeting the emergent needs for an appropriately-placed aged care facility

* future community use of the Williams Reserve land.

I've had some time to think and I have the following proposal:

1. craft an appropriate letter from the Chamber to all the Councillors and the GM

2. craft a similar template letter that people can download from the net and fax/post to Counil(lors)

3. develop a petition for the public to sign, placed in appropriate sites (bowlo, post office, all above board, David's shop, the butchers and aywhere else that we can get support)

4. liaise with our friends in the Residents Assoc and networks at the schools and other organisations to support our long held objective of proper planning in Lennox Head.
