Subject: Oh, What a Weekend!

If you were here, I don't have to tell you. If you were not, I can't tell you. But I'll try.

Friday night at the City Auditorium Joylene and I sat at the '54 class registration table so we had the best seat in the house and got to see (briefly) almost everyone. Estimates ranged from 400 - 500 in attendance and every seat seemed to be taken downstairs. The speeches were short and the food was good. The best part was good friends and good conversation.

Present from our class were Nancy Haney Carr, Nancy Stepan Cook, Joylene Toler Carter, Marilyn Randall Geary, Hazel Buchholtz Myers, John and Patsy Williams Faulk, Bill Field, Bill Fenwick, Barger and Eleanor Tickell Moss, Kemper Meacham, Bennie and Mary Ross, Bobby and Fanchone Shackelford, Betsy Rodgers and Pickett Cummins.

Saturday at 1 p.m. we all met at CCHS for a short talk by Webber Brewer the contractor who is in the beginnings of renovating the school into condos etc. We were able to tour inside the school...actually went into Miss Aarons classroom, the library etc. We enjoyed more reminiscing, cold drinks and cookies, courtesy of the contractor. Joing us were a few more classmates - Velma Dunning Porter and Bill, Jack Holsomback, and Peggy Floyd Flanagan. I hope I have not missed anyone.

Later than evening many "students" broke into classes and met for dinner at various places. I dined with Bob's (my spouse) class of '57 at Walnut Hills. More fun.

I hope I have made you want to come next time. It was really a lot of fun.

Marlyn
