Re: Massive Hails and Mighty Salutations From Nordic Central Texas -- BJ, 09:10:09 03/19/02 Tue
>John Bender! Breakfast Club! Come on!
Leah tried that whole "stare at you, incredulous" thing too. I just don't remember that line.
In other news, could you name me one thing (besides you) that is Nordic about central Texas?

Don't worry Clint--I'm going to find my copy of Breakfast Club and make him feel real stupid.

Alright BJ, close your eyes (but read this first) and imagine...
Brian is talking about how he couldn't make his lamp in shop class and failed, and had the flare gun at school because he couldn't handle having that grade. John Bender and Brian argue. Note:
Bender: "You must be a fucking idiot."
Brian: "What, I'm a fucking idiot because I can't make a lamp?"
"No, you're a genius because you can't make a lamp."
"Well, what do you know about trigonometry?"
"I don't give a fuck about trigonometry."
"Did you know without trigonometry there'd be no engineering?"
"With lamps, THERE WOULD BE NO LIGHT."
Come on, man!
Dimmu Borgir just played here 2 weeks ago. That was Nordic. And Dark Funeral next month, also Nordic. And yes, of course, me, sword swinging black metal demon, albeit short-haired these days.

Okay, it's coming back to me now. You have to keep in mind that I haven't seen that movie since Emilio Estevez had a career.

Ah, but they merely passed through. Hardly enough to convert the region.

That's a little more like it. Soon, your taint shall infest the very earth you tread, and the gods themselves shall tremble in your passing.

Alright, here's one.
"You cannot go against nature
because when you do
go against nature
that's a part of nature too.
Our little lives get complicated
it's a simple thing,
simple as a flower
and that's a complicated thing."
Think of Valentine's Day on the moon

Well, either you're Matt Pinfield, or you're abusing the power of your Internet connection ;-)
