Subject: A special request, please...

Requesting a Special Favor...

I have a dear online friend who lost her son very suddenly a while back in to a freak illness. This dear lady is a tower of strength and faith, but is also in poor health herself. Now she has learned that her mother has been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer.

I received a prayer request from her a few days ago, telling me that she is due to take her mother to see an oncologist Wednesday to determine what treatment, if any, can be used to fight her cancer. My friend told me then, "I just don't think I can stand to lose another person I love so much, so soon."

If you would, I'd like to request two things from you. First of all, please say a prayer for the medical team that will be caring for my friend's mother, asking that God guide them as they treat her, and that my friend be given the additional strength she is going to need to face whatever may lie ahead of her. I am very worried about the toll this will take on her already-fragile health, to have to face the possibility of losing her mother so quickly after the loss of her son.

Secondly, I'd like to ask you to visit her website and leave an upbeat, encouraging message that tells her she isn't alone, and that we are all holding them in our prayers and sending healing thoughts to all her family. They've been through so much in the past year, and I know she can use all the moral support she can get right now.

She has always been an active member of LOTH and the Southern Women Webring, just to name a couple of internet groups she's involved with. She is the first to offer up a prayer and support for anyone else in need. Now it's time for all of us she's prayed for in the past and all those who understand how much such prayer support means from their own life's experiences to pay it forward. She's known all over the internet as "Mary Bear".

February is the month we focus the most on love. This dear lady gives it away all the time. Now it's time for the world to give a little back to her. Please take a few minutes out of your busy lives, say a prayer for her family and leave her some encouraging words to hang on to in her guestbook.
