<3 The patched mare gallops out of the cave, having collected all she could of the gems and gold pieces. The leaf, dangling from her mandible, is now considerably heavier. She continues to gallop as she searches for a few more gems or shells. She swerves toward the ocean, sliding to a halt by the tidepools. She places her leaf in a safe spot, watching Thunder search for shells. She spashes into the tidepool nearest her, Searching for more shells. She siezes a pretty swirled shell from the sandy pool. As she lifts her prize from the water, a hermit crab pops out of the shell and pinches the soft flesh of her muzzle. She shreiks, dropping the crab and shaking her head frantically. The corner of her mouth is bleeding slightly from the pinch, but Strike returns to searching the tidepool, wincing as the salty water washes into the wound.<3
