Penny.

First, let me say how impressed I am that there is a software company that actively supports its product, and responds to problems so efficiently. It is mainly due to bad experiences with other companies that I assumed I would hear nothing for a while.

Therefore, desperate to write the DVDs, I downloaded a trial version of a rival product. Interestingly enough, when I try to write the >2GB files it says that there is a 2GB limitation due to the ISO file system. This would imply that although Borland restricts you, we may still not be able to write large files.

I am also confused as to whether I can make a simple ISO DVD, UDF DVD, or if I need to make an ISO/UDF bridge type.

I have since discovered I *do* have a software/hardware problem on the machine - the only one in the office with a DVD drive. I told you about one file which hung the PC if I tried to click on it using Explorer. If I'm right it seems that MPLAYER2.EXE provides the previes in the explorer pane, and it is this that is hanging. I tried the DVD in my daughter's XP machine and it reads OK.

Still doesn't explain the missing files when I back up with VOB over the network. I think this has been solved with my latest download, but I will give WatchetBurn another go when your fix is released.

I'll wait for your email.

Regards,
Vince Leatt
