Midas only challenged a few minutes ago, after you got the mares. And, he has to have the territory for a week before you can challenge for it back. You can though, challenge for a different territory, though every single mare that was previously yours is now Midas's until you win them back, and if you dont win them back then they must stay in his territory for three weeks.
