Subject: Week Two: 4 Miles

Today was the second training run. It was an easy 4-miler. This was the first day we ran with our pace groups. It definitely helps to have other people with you. Talking makes the time pass more quickly.

I felt like the pace was a little slower than what I normally run. I hardly broke a sweat. I'm going to run at this pace a few more weeks and see how it goes, but I am considering going into a faster group.

However, I felt great after the run and that's how the program wants you to feel. Plus, I'll probably love feeling this good when we start to hit the long runs. Even better, my ever-present shin splints didn't hurt as much today.

Training on my own was fine this week, but I did get a little lazy on my crosstraining days. I need to come up with some workouts that aren't as boring as sitting on a stationary bike. I'm thinking yoga or rollerblading.
