"Oh, Hannah!" I call "Come into the living room with mommy and daddy a moment."
She runs in excitedly, and plops onto Jordan's lap.
"Well, I heard from God today, and he says you get to have a little brother or sister!"
Hannah's eyes grow as big as dinner plates, and she squeals with delight.
"Ooo! A wittle brudder or sister!"
I smile at Jordan and he grins back.
"Holly, can I pick out the boy name?" Jordan asks as Hannah runs to her room to get the Lee Middleton doll we got her last Christmas.
"Sure, and I'll pick out the girl name."
Hannah reappears, holding the doll and she gives it to me.
"You gotta pwactice for da new baby," she says seriously. I burst out laughing and she looks up at me dejectedly.
"Oh Hannah, it's nothing you said. How about we get some ice cream to celebrate?"
"Yay, ice cweam!" she yells, perking up immediatly.
