Sean makes his way to Melissa. He stops, looking for Kev and de'Wilca. "OK, so where did they go?" He damands an answer.

Melissa, who had prepared for this, says, "She got away, Kev is after her right now." She tries her hardest to look appologetic, though with each passing moment in his presence she wants to smack him more and more.

"So why didn't you go after her too?" His voice is nearing histeria.

"Well, someone needed to be here to let you know our status. And Kev is quicker than I am, ans a much more talented tracker. She won't get away." She lowers her face so he won't see the smile forming there. Looking up again she portrays the obediant servant. "How did your battle go?"

Fire alights into his eyes. She had expected this, he could tell she knew. But he wouldn't let her know that, rather he said, "She had no respect and so was not worthy." The last part, he hoped, would sound as though it implied her defeat.
