Uno momento, Meph. You stated in your reply that lynching on public television would cut down on crime. True, it would, but we can't go around hanging everyone. The Death Penalty is reserved for those murders that commit such evil crimes that the jury of their peers decides they should die. Plus, would you really want your children watching something be executed? I know I wouldn't, simply for the pure fact it would disturb them beyond belief. And don't say, "We won't let the kids watch it..." Because we all know they'd end up watching it. You forbid a child something, they want it all the more. I think most of us are proof of that.
