I quickly knocked the guy in his face and jetted off before he could even do anything. We were only half way up the block when I heard some more gun shots. I then turned around to see the back window of Chelle's Lexus Jeep was blown out. Me: Awww hell naw. Now Chelle really gonna kick my a*s. Jiz wha am I gonna tell her? Jiz: Man I ono. But you betta think of something. And make sure Shai don't tell her either. Me: Man I know that. Shai baby...we can't tell mami about this lil episode okay? Shai: Why not? Me: Cuz she'll get mad at daddy and you don't want mami to get mad at daddy right? Shai: No. I hate it when two are mad at each other. Me: Okay. Well I'm going to tell mami that a guy broke her window while we were in the store...okay? Shai:[uneasy] Okay daddy. Me: But we didn't go to the corner store. I realized that we need some things from the store so we went to grocery store ok? Shai: Okay daddy. Jiz:[shaking his head] Man this is too much for me. Me: Man let's just go to the store so we can get some things from it to make it look like it. Jiz: Fine. I'll stay in the car just encase somebody wants to steal it. Me: Aiight. We got back in the car and went to the grocery store. I don't know how I thought up that lie but I was prayin that it worked. At that Shai didn't tell her mami the truth. All she had to do was say yeah. Nothing more and nothing less. We got the things out of the store that Shai heard Chelle say we needed and left. I decided to get Shai some ice cream just to bribe her a lil more. It worked too, I then took Jiz home and left to go back to my house. But when we got back at home Chelle was pissed. I could tell. All the lights in the house were turned on. Signifying that she was walking around. We went inside the house and she came running down the stairs. Chelle: Where the HELL have you been with my car and my baby? Me: Honey, let me explain. Chelle: Oh you better. And it BETTER be good too. Me: We went to the corner store but then I realized we needed some more tings from the store so we went to the grocery store. And got everything. Then I got Shai some ice cream. Chelle: So it takes you 4 hours to go to the store and get ice cream? Something doesn't seem right. Me: That's the truth. Chelle: So where's Jiz? Me:[thinkin: Damn she must've talked to Kay.] He went back home. Chelle: Mmhmm. I'm goin back to bed Shai come with me. And you can put all that stuff up that you bought too. Me: Fine. I walked in the kitchen and put the groceries up. Knowing that Chelle was gonna try to get the truth out of Shai. Hopefully buying her all these treats and that ice cream worked on her. With Chelle and Shai[Chelle's p.o.v] Me: Now Shai is that what really happened with you, your daddy and Uncle Jiz? Shai: Yeah. Me: Are you telling me the truth? Shai: Yes mami. I told you everything that I was supposed to. Me: That you were supposed to? What does that mean? Shai: Daddy told me not to tell you wha really happened but to tell you we went to the grocery store instead. Me: Baby wha really happened? Shai: We were in this really bad place and Uncle Jiz and daddy were talkin about drugs but daddy said it was bugs. Then this guy came and he had something and daddy hit him and we ran. Me: What?!?!? Shai: Yeah mami. That's what happened. Daddy said he couldn't tell you what really happened cuz he didn't wanna fight. Me: Well I be damned. If he ain't lie to me infront of my child then have my baby lie to me too. Shai: Is daddy gonna get in trouble? I hate it when you and him fight mami. Me: No baby daddy isn't in trouble. I was just so worried that something happened that I lost my head. Look this'll be our lil secret ok? I won't tell your daddy that you told me okay? Shai: Okay. Me: And we won't fight anymore okay?
