GG: You hit the nail right on the head. It is clear that the parents covered up the crime. There was a conflict in information given to police by Mrs. Ramsey indicating that her, then 11-year old son Burke was sleeping until police arrived. However his voice can be heard on the 911 call to police. The rasom note was total B.S. Why would a kidnap note be lift when the victim was never taken from the home.

Secondly, there was semenal fluid found on the girl that did not have any sperm. Basically what an 11 year old male might be able to produce. Also the girl was strangled with a garote type ligature much like the first aid splints recently taught in Burke's boy scout troop.

In all investigations evidence is collected in pieces that can be assembled like a puzzle. As more pieces are collected and put into their proper place, the picture becomes very clear. However there is always one aspect that physical evidence can never explain. You can prove through the collection of evidence the how, what, when, and where aspects, but only with a confession will the "why" part truely come to light.

It is this investigators theory that there may have been some sort of sexual abuse by the brother towards the sister. At some point a threat of telling the parents was made and the homocide was the only option available to the killer to eliminate that threat.

The now 15 almost 16 year old Burke will eventually crack. Until that time comes, the homocide will remain unsolved.
