Subject: PEELE IS INNOCENT OF THE 1981 MURDER OF BEN TESTER

In 1981, Ben Tester was murdered in Hampton, TN, he was hung from a tree. The Sheriff and DA were up for reelection this year and this was a murder of a highly respected man of the community, the case needed to be "solved" quickly and as easily as possible. Clifford Peele and a group of young men were on a robbing spree in the surrounding community, no one denies that. The Sheriff had Clifford starved, beaten, denied contact with the outside world, and was given drugs until he "confessed" to this murder that implicated himself and others in this hideous crime. However, there was no evidence, no witnesses, nothing that implicated any of these boys...and there were other possibilities that were never investigated such as alleged child molestation by Ben Tester, that would not go well in the community at that time, besides they had their scapegoat, no trouble was needed. Clifford's own attorney betrayed and misled him, told him to plead guilty temporarily to save himself from further abuse and later the plea could be overturned and he could receive a trial. But, that didn't happen, guilty allows you to have a sentencing hearing and that is it, but Clifford was young, trusted his lawyer, didn't know he was never to receive a trial. Clifford took lie detector tests to prove his innocence, he passed them. Clifford went against his plea bargarin with the DA to tell the truth at the others trial, that he was not involved in the murder and neither were the rest, and that is what sealed his fate...the DA still has him sitting in prison, all the others had their trials, were able to prove their innocence, but Clifford never had his chance, no opportunity to prove himself. Clifford Peele is innocent of the murder of Ben Tester and all the proof is available, there are witnesses to his whereabouts during the time of the murder, there is so much to show that Clifford is innocent, but not even the courts will allow his case to be presented, will not allow him to overturn his guilty plea to have his day in court. THIS IS JUSTICE? THIS IS THE AMERICAN WAY? CLIFFORD PEELE IS INNOCENT!!!
