Cerridwen settles for a moment after meeting the horse, then takes off into the sky. She searches the sky and ground for something to eat, but finds only hawks and other falcons, and horses on the plains. Suddenly, she spotted a hawk's nest. She normally wouldn't do this, but...eggs. And she was starving. She gazed around to see if the mother was nearby. No one. She speed-dove to the nest and perched on its edge, pecked an egg open, and slurped up the unfertilized inside. Cerridwen wiped her beak on her wings and took off. There was a female hawk in the distance, coming right toward her.
